ESSAY WRITING SAMPLE: EMOTIONAL TRIANGLES

Sample by My Essay Writer

Discussion prompt post
In my first job in an insurance firm, I was involved in an emotional triangle that consisted of my Boss, a client/policy holder and myself. The maintenance of personal contact with the insured clients was a necessary part of my job, because the company had just introduced a relationship mini-department. My role was to keep personal touch with the policy holders in both formal and informal meetings.[“Write my essay for me?” Get help here.]

I would call all the clients who had not been contacted in the past few months to see how they were doing. I would then decide on whether I needed to meet them personally or whether a call and a monthly letter were sufficient to maintain the relationship. Mostly, the wealthy clients were tricky to catch because they were always busy but they paid in time; a call was often always sufficient. For clients who were late on their payments, a follow-up meeting was always necessary. [Need an essay writing service? Find help here.]

I would make a list of all the clients who had been called or visited and those that needed to be called or visited every week. My boss would also randomly call some clients from the list as a way of showing that the top management was in touch with its clients. Most clients would call either my boss or myself to say they appreciated the gesture in return. I would also be required to submit the names of the clients who were unable to pay after two months to my boss.

Response to Peer#1
I was attracted to the way that my peer captures the flow of instructions and especially the feedback among the three actors in the emotional triangle. I especially noted that he highlights that the relationship is dynamic and the instructions and the feedback do not operate only in one direction. For example, I noted that at one time, his supervisor would be the one responding to a feedback from the customer and at another time, the same supervisor would be responding to the feedback by him. His triangle captures the feedbacks flowing from all side of the triangle and in every direction. From his emotion triangle, I gathered that there is really no one who can claim to be superior because everyone would be responding to feedback.[Click Essay Writer to order your essay]

Response to Peer#2
I was quick to note that the he captures the emotional triangle appropriately and the role of everyone in the triangle. I especially observed that he captures the concept of self-differentiation quite well. He is able to show how he was responsible for his own behavior and not those of others in the emotional triangle. He is able to demonstrate that the failures of the other two members of the triangle were not his failure. From his example, I also noted that because this is a relationship involving more than two people, it is possible for the outcome of an activity to go wrong even when one or two parties in the triangle perform their role effectively because failure by one party can lead to total failure of the whole operation.
